We are seeking a highly motivated MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING INSPECTOR

This is an entry level technical work supporting higher level technicians and engineers in functional areas such as roadway inspection and documentation. Work usually involves a significant amount of decision making and use of judgment and may include providing work directions to others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform independent inspections of roadways and materials to assure compliance with the maintenance contract.
  • Perform standardized inspections.
  • Work may include inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials: inspection of roadways and structures for conformance to plans, and specifications and traffic control and erosion control devices.
  • Perform a variety of calculations and computations.
  • Perform contract documentation duties, which may include field measurements of pay items as well as other Department required documentation.
  • Work may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in roadway maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of mathematical functions.
  • Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators and computers.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain such things as roadway plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to take notes and prepare or review reports.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to instruct other employees in proper work methods.
  • A valid driver’s license is required as a condition of employment.
  • Day and/or night work required to support the contractor’s schedule.

We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Aide, Inspector, or Project Manager

The ideal successful candidate will be/have:

  • Accurately records and reports daily forms per project requirements
  • Communicates effectively with client, contractor, staff, and supervisor
  • Proactively resolves problems at the lowest level
  • Adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting
  • Submits accurate time sheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week
  • Reviews jobsite safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues
  • Understands OSHA Safety Standards and corporate/client policies and follows them at all times
  • Maintains all required certifications and participates in training courses as required
  • Understands all applicable industry standards for project and performs all tasks per standards and client requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform construction inspection and reporting of erosion and sediment control, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement.
  • Must prepare detailed and timely reports to document construction progress, inspection and testing results.
  • Prepare necessary records and measure field quantities, conduct field tests and other tests that may be required to determine contractor’s compliance with contract specifications.

Driver’s license is required as a condition of employment. Day and/or night work required to support the contractor’s schedule.

We are seeking a highly motivated SUE TECHNICIAN/UTILITY LOCATOR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Designate and document overhead and underground utilities.
  • Operation of SUE utility locating and designating equipment, including but not limited to pipe and cable locators and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
  • Responsible for the Quality Assurance of all utility systems designated and collected within the limits of the project.
  • Operate and maintain SUE locating and survey equipment daily.
  • Complete detailed field investigations.
  • Utilize electronic devices to record utilities and structures designated in the field.
  • Interpret utility plans and provide accurate documentation or sketches.
  • Identify the size and type of underground utilities.
  • Locate and mark underground utilities with various electromagnetic equipment within the survey limits.
  • Prepare complete and accurate utility sketches of the area surveyed for office use.
  • Communicate with office staff accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours (some nights, weekends, and approximately 50% travel will be required).
  • High school diploma/equivalent or greater.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Entry level candidates looking to begin their career will be considered.
  • 2-5 years of SUE Field Technician experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of underground utility systems and SUE locating equipment.
  • Meet specified schedules and budgets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Professional interactions with members of the public/landowners.
  • Operate robotic station, digital levels, terrestrial scanners GNSS/GPS and other survey equipment.
  • Perform all field calculations necessary to the project.
  • Lead the work of the survey crew, coordinate, and organize work efforts.
  • Ensure maintenance of all instruments and equipment.
  • Confirm angles, distances, and other necessary information are accurate and follow regulations and standards.
  • Record accurate notes and sketches to describe work performed.
  • Complete daily logs and expense reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent or greater.
  • 2-5 years of field survey experience.
  • Experience working with robotic total stations, GNSS systems and Trimble Access software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (some nights, weekends, and approximately 50% travel will be required).
  • Be familiar with post processing and know how to download survey data from data collectors.
  • Valid driver’s license.

We are seeking a highly motivated FIELD SURVEY TECHNICIAN/INSTRUMENT OPERATOR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Data acquisition using robotic total stations.
  • Keep neat and organized field notes.
  • Clear vegetation for traverse lines.
  • Review data daily to ensure quality.
  • Operate robotic stations, digital levels, terrestrial scanners GNSS/GPS and other survey equipment.
  • Professional interactions with members of the public/landowners.
  • Assist Crew Chief in completion of surveys and all other tasks necessary to finalize the project.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours (some nights, weekends, and approximately 50% travel will e required).
  • High school diploma/equivalent or greater.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Entry level candidates looking to begin their career will be considered.
  • 2-5 years of survey field technician experience is a plus.
  • Technical Degree or College diploma or related field, preferred.
  • Certified Survey Technician preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software or equivalent, preferred.
  • General knowledge of Trimble Access software, robotic total stations, GNSS systems and digital levels is a plus.

We are looking for a highly motivated SUE CADD Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Produce drawings, layouts, and utility surveys using design software such as MicroStation.
  • Ensure designs are created according to specifications through operating MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Review maps and drawings to ensure field and technical data is recorded.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare SUE plans in accordance with project guidelines.
  • Conduct QA/QC checks on CAD drawings.
  • Collaborate with SUE Field Technicians to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare finished deliverables including Quality Levels A, B, C, & D, topographic mapping, and other survey reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent or greater.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Entry level candidates looking to begin their career will be considered.
  • 2-5 years of SUE CADD experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStattion, and Google Earth is a plus.
