Meet An Owner | Byron Freeman

As we celebrate a decade of Platinum Geomatics, we asked Byron Freeman to reflect on the journey.

🏆 Biggest accomplishment in the last 10 years?
“Building a successful company that provides stability, competitive wages, and good benefits for our employees is probably most rewarding for me personally.”

💭 Favorite early memory?
“One of my favorite early memories was when Michael, Jeff, and I would do field work during the day and write proposals at night in the hotel lobby. Back then all we had was belief that we could succeed and faith in each other.”

💪 What makes PG stand out?
“I think that having senior leadership that’s involved in the day to day is one differentiating factor. Obviously, our roles as owners have evolved with our growth, but I think it’s important that leaders make an effort to understand how the sausage is made, especially when the decisions you make affect people’s livelihoods.”

🤔 What’s exciting about the next 10 years?
“We’ll be moving into our new office in a few months and I’m looking forward to the opportunity for rebirth and renewal that this will help bring to our team and our culture and I’m looking forward to continuing to build a company where people can thrive.”

Ten years strong β€” and the foundation is only getting stronger. 👏
